Good Afternoon from Two Kittens Gifts

This has been a very long winter for us in the North. Spring should have been here by now, but the temperatures are still staying way below the warm and comfortable side.

We are still trying to fill our store with new products. We miss the hand stenciled slate signs we offered in the past, and have been looking to find another company we can join, that will drop ship for us, but believe it or not, they are few and far between. If anyone knows of such a company, no matter how small, we would be very happy to partner with them. Our hand stenciled signs were a hugh success with us and we miss having them to list.

We have been fortunate to find another sign company, that makes signs mostly for indoor use, and are exceptionally nice. They are hand crafted and made to order. Made in the USA of furniture grade wood, and professionally silk screened by hand. A variety of these signs have a hanging personalized name board. There is a little humor in them, and would make a special gift for your home or office, or for that special professional in your life, that would love to receive this thoughtful and personal gift , as well as having his profession recognized. We hope everyone had a wonderful, fun Christmas and that this coming year will be all that you are hoping for.

We have a new addition and subtraction to our store. Sorry to say our slate sign distributor has dropped all drop shipping stores, (including us) to pursue business strictly through their own company. Kim's Crafts has been a great company to work with, great products, and we are certainly going to miss them. We wish them the best and success for their future. In the mean time we are trying to find another slate sign company to work with, so keep checking back if you are interested in obtaining a slate sign. We will do our best to find one for you.

Next, we have welcomed aboard another company who will work with us in the pet supply category. We will offer pet strollers, pet car seats, carriers, stairs, bedding, bird feeders, bird houses, bird baths and cages, more wind chimes and outdoor decor, plus so much more. We have just begun to list these products, so check back often. Also, we have been busy adding to our stained hand painted glass and Hallmark ornaments, giving you a larger selection to choose from.

In closing, we would like to thank all of our new and returning customers, for their business. We had a successful 2010 year, and will try to add as much to the store this year as possible.

2010 Hallmark Ornaments Loon Lake Decoy

Hello Everyone

Is it time to start thinking about Christmas? By what I see in all the stores I have been in, I think they started a few months ago, but we are now just restocked with some of your favorite items getting ready for the holiday rush.
Hallmark ornaments, retired and new, have been popular, and we have come across some really nice ones, especially from the Nostalgic Houses and Shops Series. We have about 1,000 different ones to choose from, and adding more new ones daily. We hope you will find just the one you are looking for, or for that special someone for Christmas.
Our Daphne Golf Headcovers have been very popular this year, and we have added several new animals, and restocking, so your favorite will be available. Daphne's Headcovers have become so popular now, that the factory is working hard to stock up as well to keep up with the demand. We will keep adding as they become available. If you like the Peacock, it will no longer be made by Daphne's, but we still have some in stock, so if you would like it for Christmas, order soon.
We had plans to add crystal products this summer, but because of a loss in our immediate family, the summer months were dedicated to that crisis. So, crystal figurines will definitely be added over the winter months. If you would like to see a certain product carried by our store, just drop us a note and we would be glad to look into it and possibly add it. We are always looking to find what customers are interested in.
I will probably do another blog before Christmas and let you know what is going fast. If you are looking for a slate sign for the holidays, we have them too. Hello Again from Two Kittens Gifts

It has been awhile since my last blog, a very busy summer so far, with a wedding, two graduations and unfortunately a death in the family, but we are now ready to settle down and get back to the store full steam.
We had considered adding crystal figurines to the store, but unfortunately have set it aside temporarily due to the great sales for Daphne's Golf Headcovers. Because golf headcovers are so popular now, we are adding a new company with cartoon characters to our list. The company is Winning Edge Designs, and they have some of the cutest headcovers. We will have Popeye, Olive Oyl, Dudley Do Right, Garfield, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Odie, McDowell's Dragon, Bob Murphy's Leprechaun and lastly the Geico Gecko to start with. They have so many cute ones, we just decided to go with ten to see how they sell. They are well made and would make wonderful gifts, or add a cute touch to your own golf bag.
Would you believe we are starting to get many sales for the Hallmark ornaments, due to the Hallmark Preimer event held earlier this month. We were quite surprised that so many of you are already looking for the Christmas ornaments. I have already purchased many of the limited edition ornaments, and will be listing them shortly. Last year it was about September when the rush started, and I was able to take my time listing, but this year will be moving faster.
We have had a very good year so far, and are looking forward to a busy fall and holiday season again this year. We still have our two kitties, that make good supervisors helping in the store. Please take time to visit our about us section for pictures.

Thank you all for a very nice holiday season, as the store was quite busy, which was nice to see everyone in a shopping mode. Customers seemed pleased with the products, and I have several nice comments I hope to list soon. Right now we are in the process of restocking retired Hallmark ornaments and listing all the 2009’s we could purchase. Many stores sold out, and some of the most popular ones are very hard to find, but we will keep working on it. By far, they were the most popular products this year.
Loon Lake Decoys, and Daphne’s Headcovers were a close second. I think many a father or husband received one for Christmas. Loon Lake is coming out with new products soon. One very nice one is the Mallard Duck coming in for a landing, a tabletop sculpture, plus a Loon call and more we haven’t seen yet, but should be available soon.
Daphne’s is coming out with about 10 new headcovers, which are so cute. Please check back with us in a month or two, when they will be out. The Cougar, Basset Hound, Beagle, Hawk and Boston Terrier should sell well, they look so real. They have also redesigned some of the older favorites, but my feelings on that are, it must be hard to refine a product as nice as their products are. We have seen pictures, but have to wait until they are available. I have my order list and am ready to order ASAP.
The hand painted stained glass products sold well for Christmas too. By far, the lighthouses win. There must be a lot of lighthouse lovers, like ourselves. It makes it especially nice to have repeat customers, for products family and friends have seen, and are ordered because someone liked it so much.
And of course I can’t leave out the slate signs. We certainly love these products. They are beautiful and the fast service from Kim’s Crafts is fantastic. They were a large part of our Christmas business too.
Now, for the future products for the store, we are still pondering Sandicast, but are also considering Crystal. If anyone has a good idea of something they might like to see on our store, we are always interested. We still haven’t given up on the bird accessories and dog products. Now that the holidays rush is over, and we get finished restocking, we can take the time to figure more products to add to the store.

Tis the Christmas Season Coming Soon

Hello Again
Here comes the same old saying we hear every year. Shop early and be ready, don't wait until the last minute. We hear from some people who say they have their Christmas shopping done before this time of year, but for the majority of us, we tend to wait. I may be a little early for the Christmas season, but I just want to review some of our most popular and gift giving products for everyone from parents, neighbors, siblings, children and of course Our Boss.
We have had a successful run with Daphne's Golf Headcovers. If you need a great gift for the golfer, place one of these under the Christmas tree, they are so cute. My husband has the Lion on one of his golf clubs and gets all kinds of comments about him. If someone has a special animal they love or collect, this is the perfect gift.
Next suggestion would be for the hunter in your life, or the bird lover who would appreciate some of our Loon Lake Decoys. The pieces are absolutely beautiful and professionally made. I have a wall mount in my living room and just love it. They have all types of home decor from lamps to chess sets. Take a look and I will bet you will find something special for someone.
Our new product of Kim's slate signs has been going well also. Everyone seems to like the fact that they can be personalized with their family name or pet name. Great gift for Grandma or the next door neighbor?
Also remember the sale on wine bottle stoppers and figurines. If you see something you like and want to order more than one, we can have them drop shipped directly to you. Maybe a great gift for everyone at the office.
Finally, we didn't list our Sandicast line, we have put that on hold until after the holidays. Instead, we will be going with a company that carries pet accessories such as bedding, strollers, cat carriers, bird houses, bird feeders, plus much more. We are finding people are looking for these usable products, and feel they may be good sellers.

Greetings
Since our last post we have worked hard at getting the new slate products online. I will still be working on the personalized ones, especially the dog Christmas slates. Gary has been busy working on SEO's and links so that we will be able to hear from more of you. If you have been looking at our store, you will notice we have added several new Hallmark ornaments for the up coming holiday. As Christmas approaches, the 2009 Hallmarks will be a little harder to find, as Hallmark is filling store orders with less ornaments, so there won't be the big excess like previous years. I hope we will be able to find them at the sales so we can bring them to you. We will do our best to to have a supply waiting. That is one more job ahead of me soon, shopping and listing.
As for the Sandicast product line, we probably won't get around to listing all of them until after the holdiays, due to the amount of time it takes to list hundreds of items.

Hello from Two Kittens Gifts Blog

Thank you for visiting out Two Kittens Gifts blog. We are Gary and Melonie and our store is fairly new, founded (2 years ago). We are a newly retired couple who have collected Hallmark ornaments and Harbour Lights lighthouses through the years as a hobby, while thinking about what we would like to do in our retirement. We decided we just didn’t want to sit around, we were to young to just quit “working”. So, with our two kitty assistants, Moochie, the look alike in our picture, and Mollie, we call her Miss Tude (attitude) sometimes, we started our business with me searching for products to carry, listing the products online, phone work, wrapping and shipping, most of the busy work, and Gary doing the more technical computer stuff. Moochie and Mollie kind of keep an eye on us, one on my desk counter and one next to Gary on a pillow on the storage shelf.
We have come a long way, learning as we go. We carry some great products, including mahogany wooden model airplanes that are beautifully hand made, and hand painted. Golf Headcovers that are so cute, pick your favorite animal for decorating your golf bag. Hand painted glass window décor that is lovely to look at. Plus one of our best selling products, Loon Lake Decoys. If you have a hunter in your family, please visit this section of our store, they make the most beautiful waterfowl decoys, and I am sure you will find the perfect gift for him or her. We are so pleased to represent them and their products. We also have animal figurines and will soon be adding Sandicast animal figurines to our growing store. Also another new product we have just signed to sell are hand stenciled slate signs and clocks, made in Maine, that will be available in your favorite dog, cat, horse and holiday themes.
